Womens Volley : Vrilisia 0-3 Olympiakos

Our ladies won 3-0 away in Vrilisia and now advance to the last 8 teams of the competition. We were very disciplined, played as a team and had a very good defence. These three important items were the backbone of the win yesterday. We now get to beat Poutanas Gios on Monday evening in Rentis.

Mens Volleyball : Iraklis 0-3 Olympiakos

Olympiakos won its tenth league game in a row with a 3-0 thrashing of Iraklis. Our opponents only took the lead once in a single set of the three but we eventually recovered and won the set in addition to the other two sets already won.
The eventual scores were :-

2nd Set : Iraklis 22-25 Olympiakos
3rd Set : Iraklis 19-25 Olympiakos

Womens Volleyball : Olympiakos 4-0 Markopoulo

Our ladies won their first friendly game of the new season, pumping Markopoulo by 4 sets to nil. The sets were won by the scorelines of 27-25, 25-15, 25-5 and 25-19.

Volleyball : Olympiakos 2-3 Pamvochaikos

We lost in volleyball against Pamvochaikos earlier this evening. The game was the home leg of the playoffs and makes our job harder to overcome the opponents in the return match. We had the support of approximately 150 fans with banners and drums as opposed to just 10 fans from Pamvochaikos. Nevertheless we ended up losing the game in the final set and need to pick up our game to force a third game (wednesday).

Womens Volley Cup Final : Olympiakos 3-2 Vazeloi

More tears for the Vazeloi last night after we beat their womens volleyball team in the cup final by 3 sets to 2. Our ladies won the cup and will be paraded in the Karaiskaki stadium today when our fans will also be present for the match against Kerkyra.

The scores from the Cup final were :-

Olympiakos 1-3 Foinikas Syros (Volley)

Our mens volleyball team dropped out of the championship play-offs after losing at home to Foinikas Syros. We had started the match brightly and won the first set but suffered an injury to Dima Filipov in the process. After that we didn't manage to match the Syros players and succumbed in straight sets afterwards. Olympiakos therefore doesn't take the title for this season.

Foinikos Syros 3-0 Olympiakos

We lost at Volleyball earlier today by a full three sets to nil. We had performed well in the first set up until the first twenty points then ended up losing the set by 25-23. Syros also took the second set albeit with a greater scoreline and we didn't perform as well in the third set at all.
We now have to overcome Foinikos in Rentis on Wednesday to take the game to a final third match. The scores were :-

Olympiakos 3-0 Markopoulo (Womens Volleyball)

Our ladies beat Markopoulo with a 3-0 scoreline tonight in the 9th matchday of the league. We didn't have any real problems in the match after overcoming Markopoulo in the first set and the game got progressively easier for us. The scores from the sets were :-

1st Set : Olympiakos 25-20 Markopoulo
2nd Set : Olympiakos 25-16 Markopoulo
3rd Set : Olympiakos 25-13 Markopoulo

Iraklis 3-0 Olympiakos (Volleyball)

Our mens volleyball team lost to Iraklis with a 3-0 scoreline in matchday 22 of the league. The team didn't perform well and lost to the same team which also beat them recently in Syros. We made errors in the service and unfortunately we were punished for the lax play with the eventual loss.
